Inflatable Architecture

I

An exploration of inflatable architectural space for the purpose of soft robotics. The installation is immersive, playful, and interactive, inviting participants to explore negative space that transforms with changes in air. The entire installation is constructed using Mylar, a reflective heat-sealed material. It consists of four long cones measuring 1.80 meters in height and one center conical element measuring 1.60 meters by 1.80 meters.
A camera connected to a p5js sketch is used to count the number of people in the space and adjust the breathing rate accordingly. The installation's breathing rate increases as the space becomes more crowded.
